Why polished concrete?

Polished concrete is long-lasting, low-maintenance, and great looking! Once installed, a polished concrete floor can last as long as it is properly maintained. Regular vacuuming, mopping, and occasionally refreshing the polish are all that is required to keep the floor in great shape. Because of its longevity and low maintenance costs, polished concrete will save you money over the lifetime of your floor.

In addition to low maintenance costs, polished concrete is highly durable and holds up well in high-traffic areas. Densifiers and hardeners are added to the polish during installation, making the final product resistant to scratches, dents, and foot and machine traffic. While resistant to damage and staining, polished concrete allows the concrete more breathability than other surfaces, cutting down on mold and moisture-mitigation issues.

Polished concrete is also environmentally friendly. It doesn’t require VOC-containing adhesives or glues to install and doesn’t require heavy chemicals to clean. Polishing the existing concrete slab reduces the use of additional materials, and its high light-reflectivity can also help save money on lighting costs.
